Fancy Wearing the High Stilettos: Here are a Few Tips for Newbie’s

Fancy Wearing the High Stilettos Here are a Few Tips for Newbie’sWearing high heels have never been my cup of tea. For me, it was always comfort over fashion. Whereas I had friends completely obsessed of wearing those high heeled stilettos. But, the idea of wearing heels never appealed me until recently when I met a friend of mine. Meeting her after a long time, I found a complete difference in her personality.

She looked so demeaning and sophisticated unlike her previous timid look. She seemed to be thinner, taller and her legs completely toned and in all she looked so confident. The only addition to her looks was the heels she was wearing. The way she walked looked so incredibly graceful that for a few moments I could not take my eyes of her. It was such a fantastic impression that she laid on me that I could not stop myself from entering into a shoe shop soon after we bid good bye to each other. Being a newbie to high heeled shoes, I had no idea where to start from. I did try a few pairs but looked ridiculous, therefore a bit of research was required before actually putting my feet in a six-inch stiletto. Doing a bit of research actually got me a lot of good information for heel virgins like me. I was happy to know, that I was not the only one new to heels!

  • The first tip is – do not opt for the high heeled stilettos immediately, especially if you are taking a transition from flats to heels. It is always preferable to take a start from a low-heel, like 1 1/2 inches till you feet get used to it. Once you are adjusted, you can move on for something more like two and four inches tall.
  • Practice a lot: Beginners need to practice a lot before stepping out. Wear your heels at home so that will help you get used to it. Even I did the same, I walked around the house, did chores, relaxed taking breaks in between till finally I could put them on for a longer time. In the beginning did wobble but later on got comfortable with it.
  • Select Wisely: For the sake of beauty, you will have to undergo some kind of discomfort, therefore why not choose the least painful option. If you are struggling to balance on narrow heels then you can choose a stylish wedge.
  • In the beginning walk slowly and keep an eye on the floor and steps to be careful. Higher the heel, the more weight is required to be put on the balls of your feet.
  • Tall people should put less stress on the joints else they can even opt for platform or wedge heels. Even better to try a bootie!

Studies have shown that people wearing heels have a better balance and are less likely to fall. The added height comes as a dose of confidence. One reason for this sense of confidence is the straight posture that you get with the head held high. The added height is also because you get to stand properly, with your shoulders leveled and back straight. It gives a sense of empowerment you need and at the same time it does not let you lose your femininity. All ladies out there to go on to select a good pair of heels!
